Greetings Suppliers,


Back in May I announced the upcoming transition to the Groupon Goods Gateway, our new supplier portal. To reiterate, it’s a platform that will provide a seamless, centralized user experience that will make it easier than ever to sell on Groupon Goods. This month, I’m pleased to share updates on the Gateway, as well as several other milestones we’ve been working towards.


Groupon Goods Gateway


The development of our Gateway is well underway! We’ve recently completed several rounds of user acceptance testing, which is designed to tell us more about how users interact with the platform and whether it meets the unique needs of our suppliers. We’ve received some illuminating feedback from those who’ve participated, and we can’t wait to share the results with you in the coming months.


We are also currently finalizing a list of Drop Ship suppliers that will migrate to the platform in 2016. This beta program will help ensure that we are transitioning each supplier at the optimal time. During the beta phase, we will continue to incorporate supplier feedback and improve upon the user experience in preparation for a full-scale transition to the platform in Q1 of 2017. Your Account Manager will reach out in the coming months with more information about when and how your business will transition to the Gateway.


EDI


We will begin rolling out EDI capabilities in August 2016. At this time, only Drop Ship will be supported, with 3PL capabilities slated for 2017. If you’re interested in receiving more information about our EDI platform, contact edi@groupon.com. I’ll have further details on the integration process shortly!

I’m happy to report that progress has been made on a number of the action items discussed during the inaugural meeting of our supplier council, and we’re going to continue acting on the valuable feedback provided.


Notably, we’re working towards the placement of a dynamic Marketing calendar for supplier reference within the Gateway platform to improve forecasting for asset placement and supply needs. In the meantime, I’m pleased to share the most current calendar with you each month:
