Greetings Goods Vendors,


Spring has arrived and with it some exciting changes for Goods vendors! The Gateway transition has been steadily ramping up all year, and many of you are now live on the platform. When it’s time for your business to be onboarded to Gateway, our transition team will contact you with details on your next steps. Remember, all Goods drop ship vendors must transition to Gateway, and we will continue onboarding new vendors through Q3 of this year. For those of you already in Gateway, read on for a few quick platform updates. We also have a new version of the Vendor Guide and a special announcement about Express Shipping options!


Gateway Updates 


Support Ticket Updates

A reminder that you can now submit tickets for support through the Vendor Helpdesk in Gateway. This allows us to give you better coverage and a quicker response time for addressing issues. We’ve also made a change based on your feedback- vendors no longer need to be logged in to submit a support ticket


Bulk Upload Functionality Updates

Improvements to the Bulk Upload page in Gateway went live for users on Thursday, 4/20. For more details, please reference this guide: Updates to Bulk Upload Page in Gateway. If you have questions about the changes to Bulk Upload functionality or general Gateway queries, please submit a Vendor Helpdesk ticket


Vendor Product Rejections in Gateway

We've put together a handy guide to fixing product rejections in Gateway that we hope will help you resolve any outstanding product status issues you may be experiencing while uploading your catalog. 2017 New Vendor Guide

The Vendor Guide has been updated for 2017! Please take a look and make note of any changes, particularly the revised fee schedule.

Groupon Branding

A friendly reminder to drop ship vendors to place your monthly order of Goods branded packaging materials- drop shippers are required to have Groupon branding on all orders. Per the Vendor Guide, the non-compliance chargeback for omitting branded packaging is assessed at $0.50/order (seen as it appears below):

Please ensure that when ordering branded packaging the following standards are being maintained:


  • Please order and maintain no more than a two-month supply at any given time, and order packaging only when your supply falls to one month or less. 

  • Please place no more than two orders per month, in accordance with your company’s shipping volume (you may want to take into account upcoming deal caps).

  • Be careful not to let your supply fall too low- keep in mind that expedited shipping for branded packaging is not available- standard shipping must be used.

Delivery Estimates

Almost half of Groupon Paid Parcel vendors now have Delivery Estimates displayed on their deals. This initiative has greatly improved our customer experience and we’ve found that having the estimates displayed may yield better sales for participating vendors.

Vendors eligible for participation in the Delivery Estimates program will now be required to take part. Groupon team members are collecting vendor info as part of the Gateway pre-transition process, and your account manager will be in touch with further info if your business meets the shipping requirements for participation. Express Delivery

Express Shipping Options are coming to Groupon Goods! We want this new feature to provide customers with a great shipping experience, and we need vendors to prepare for shipping express orders with a faster turnaround time. The express shipping feature will test on the site in May and progressively launch to all Goods deals throughout Q2 and Q3. Look out for further info soon!
