Here at Groupon Goods, we always want you to feel comfortable when reaching out to your primary business partners. We recently introduced you to your Account Management team, and this week we'd like to introduce you to your Buying team and let them share a little bit about themselves. The Buyers are your primary contacts for product planning and promotions, deal content and contract negotiations. Feel free to reach out with any questions you have!

How long have you been a Buyer with Groupon Goods? 


Rebecca Farrell: I’ve been here since November 2011.


Julia Korol: I started as a temp in early 2015.


What product categories does your team cover?


Rebecca Farrell: I’m a Senior Buyer handling women’s underwear, socks, bras, shapewear, sleepwear, loungewear, and swimwear.


Julia Korol: I’m an Associate Buyer handling men’s underwear, socks, undershirts, base layers, sleepwear, and swimwear. 


What does a buyer do in the course of the day?


There is so much to do day to day! We work with vendors to schedule deals and answer questions about everything from technical problems to new product proposals. We do market research to make sure we’re staying on top of our assortment, pull reports to analyze our business, and plan all of our marketing.

What is your favorite thing about being a buyer?


We really enjoy when we spend a lot of effort developing a deal with our vendors and the customers end up loving it. 


What is your favorite thing about Goods vendors?


We really appreciate how our vendors are great at adapting and trying new things as the business changes.
