Here at Groupon Goods, we always want you to feel comfortable when reaching out to your primary business partners. We recently introduced you to your Account Management team, and this week we'd like to introduce you to your Buying team and let them share a little bit about themselves. Alicia Koenig: I buy Cold Weather, Handbags, Leather Goods, and Eyewear in addition to overseeing Watches and Men’s Jewelry.

What does a buyer do in the course of the day?
Team: It depends on the day, but the cliffs notes version is a mix of analyzing and acting on sales data, researching new product trends and brands, curating our assortment, promoting deals, and implementing strategies to drive business results.
When should vendors contact their buyer?
Team: Please contact us with any assortment updates or issues with pricing and inventory. We also love to hear from vendors if they have ideas and opportunities for co-op support to help drive promotional events!
What is your favorite thing about being a buyer?
Alicia Koenig: Product! I am super excited to be jumping back into the accessories world. I love following trends and understanding what drives customer decisions.
What is your favorite thing about working with Goods vendors?
Alicia Koenig: I love learning how to drive a retail strategy and build business in the tech space. It is probably the most challenging thing, but I have enjoyed the opportunity to force myself to think differently as a buyer!
